Delta has won a Motorsport Industry Association Business Excellence Award for New Markets. The trophy was presented to the company’s Technical Director Nick Carpenter in an award ceremony in Birmingham on January 9th.
Along with six other awards, the presentation took place at the MIA’s annual Business Excellence Awards, itself part of the Autosport International Show. The event saw over 500 guests from across the world come together to recognise the achievements of the industry over the last twelve months.
‘The motorsport industry is one of the ‘shining stars of the British economy,’ said Chris Aylett, CEO of the MIA. ‘The MIA is proud to have Delta Motorsport within its membership. This Business Excellence Award recognises their outstanding hard work and effort to successfully transfer its world class motorsport techniques and capabilities into other business sectors and new markets, particularly automotive. The entire Delta Motorsport team should be justifiably proud of its achievements, which will undoubtedly lead to even greater success in the future.’ Chris Aylett, CEO Motorsport Industry Association
A recent government review of the motor-sport industry revealed that the sector achieved sales of £9billion last year, with 90 percent of companies selling overseas, so to have been singled out for the award is a significant achievement.« back to newsroom
