Delta is involved in many levels of Motorsport from Formula 1 to club racing and covering all aspects of engineering from component design to full car design, build and team management.

The challenge was to build 15 single seat race cars for Formula 1 legends in less the five months. Many respected industry figures said it was not possible but the Directors of Delta never doubted there ability to complete the project on time and on budget. Drivers such as Nigel Mansell, Emerson Fittipaldi and Riccardo Patrese took to the grid in the inaugural round of the series in Kyalami, South Africa. In front of a worldwide television audience and a capacity crowd at the race circuit the Delta GPM-05 machines were tested to the limit by the Grand Prix Masters, all fifteen cars ran faultlessly throughout the event and were given high praise from all the drivers.

Delta was chosen to complete a safety analysis of the behaviour of Le Mans Prototype class race cars during accidents where their attitude approaches 90° yaw. The study was commissioned after a number of high speed incidents resulted in cars flipping over during a spin, Delta was awarded the contract by the motorsports governing body as an independent to manufacturers such as Audi, Peugeot and Honda. The study used computational fluid dynamics (CFD) to evaluate the aerodynamic effects on a closed and open cockpit car during turning, new parts were developed to prevent the cars from flipping and made a mandatory requirement for all manufacturers.

Delta join forces with Alan Docking Racing making a formidable combination of race team, race engineering and team management. Superleague Formula is a high specification single seat race series with cars pumping out 750bhp from V12 racing engines, ADR Delta are the most successful team in the series with over 50 podiums in the three seasons of working together. Running up to four cars in the series the team have proved more than a match for anybody finishing championship runner up twice and championship winner once and winning the most prize money for the teams drivers which included John Martin, Craig Dolby and x-F1 driver Antonio Pizzonia.
